As of the 25th October, the Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) expanded to cover a wider area of London. The aim is to encourage people to clean up their vehicles or take public transport, walk, or cycle to help reduce the high levels of harmful Nitrogen Dioxide. Traffic emissions are the biggest source of toxic air in London with many areas now exceeding the legal limits for pollution.
If you are driving in this zone and your vehicle does not meet ULEZ emissions standards, you must pay a £12.50 daily charge. Failure to pay this fee will result in a Penalty Charge Notice being issued to you along with a fine.
Be rest assured, all our hire vehicles are compliant with the October 2021 ULEZ changes so you won't need to pay to drive in the ULEZ.
For more information, or to check your vehicles compliance, visit the gov.uk website.
