Age Limits

Our insurance covers drivers between the ages of 23 and 70, except for minibuses where the minimum age is 25. Drivers aged 21 - 22 and 71 - 74 can be covered (subject to insurance company approval), the only cost for this being an increased CDW charge. Rental Reminder: If you're too young or too old or just don't want to drive, we can arrange a driver for you - see Driver Hire


Driving Licence Information	Top of Page ^

We are usually able to insure you to drive if you have endorsements on your licence, although certain offences will carry a larger insurance excess. Please check with us at the time of booking. If you are unable to produce your driving licence, we can obtain the details we need from the DVLC during their office hours. As this is a premium rate call, we charge £5.00 + VAT for this service.
Rental Reminder: If you have a new credit-card style driving licence, we need to see the paper counterpart as well.

When we quote for hires including insurance, we include the cost of the CDW, which reduces your insurance excess responsibility to just £100. There are exclusions to this (e.g. wrong fuel or roof damage) and it is optional, but the CDW does mean your hire will be risk free. Rental Reminder: Your hire will be cheaper if you can cover vehicles on your own fully comprehensive insurance.
