If you need to transport children in your hire vehicle, Kenhire have a range of child seats and booster seats available for hire. Suitable for children aged between 6 months and six years old, these seats are easy to use and will be fitted for you.

Priced at £2.00 + VAT per day, with reductions for longer hires, seats are not just for rental vehicles, but can also be hired for your own car.

Load restraining bars are available to use free of charge when you hire a Luton Van fitted with the appropriate side rails. Sprung loaded (like a toilet roll holder) these bars are useful for securing your load.

Just ask at reception when you collect your van and we will provide you with one or two to help with your loading.

Rental Reminder: Load Lock Bars will restrain a maximum load of 400kg and should not be used as a safety device. They can be used at a variety of heights.

A wide range of useful accessories are available to purchase from our reception. Whether you need to secure your load (ratchet straps, rope, bungees, cargo nets, etc.), protect your goods (tarpaulins, padlocks, etc.) or protect yourself (latex gloves, disposable overalls, high visibility jackets, etc.), Kenhire can provide many items to make your job easier and safer at very low prices.

Rental Reminder: When transporting loose bulk materials like ballast, sand or gravel, you are required to sheet over your load and may be prevented from leaving the quarry without a cover.

To help with larger loads, Kenhire supply a range of ladder racks, roof racks and aerodynamic lockable roof boxes to fit most of our hire cars, small vans and minibuses. Subject to the availability of the appropriate fittings, you can also hire a rack or box to be fitted to your own car.

The hire period can be of any length, but as an example, the weekly rental prices are £14.00 + VAT for a rack and £21.00 + VAT for a 320 litre roof box.

We have a 2750 kg Car Transporter Trailer available for rent at £38.55 per day + VAT (reductions for longer periods). Measuring 16' long by 6' 2" wide, with a 2000 kg payload, it will comfortably carry most cars and light vans.

Rental Reminder: Check your vehicle's GTW to make sure you will be within the legal towing weights.

To move heavy or unwieldy objects safely, we have a number of sack barrows available for hire.

At a daily charge of £2.55 + VAT, these are ideal for people moving house and take the strain out of carrying such items as refrigerators, cookers or heavy boxes to and from the van.

With an additional deposit, our sack barrows can also be hired on their own.

Rental Reminder: When transporting a barrow in the back of a van, it is dangerous to lay it on its wheels - carry it face down or secured to prevent it sliding.

Many of Kenhire's commercial vehicles, minibuses and larger cars are fitted with dual ball and pin tow bars, with 7 pin electrical sockets.

Spare number plates are supplied for use on your trailer and often the height of the bar can be adjusted to suit your needs.

Subject to demand, tow bars can be fitted to other vehicles.

If you need to transport heavy items, it may be worth considering a vehicle equipped with a taillift to make loading and unloading both easier and safer.

Kenhire have Luton vans and large box vans fitted with 500kg and 1000kg capacity lifts.

All taillifts are easy to operate but you will be instructed in their use if required.

Rental Reminder: You must be safety conscious when operating taillifts - remember not to stand too close, don't lower on a slope, don't load close to the edge of the platform and keep children clear.
